NY Daily News- He’ll be enshrined — but not engaged.

New York Giants great and morning talk-show host Michael Strahan and his fiancée of five years, Nicole Murphy, called it quits Friday — a day before the former defensive end was to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The split was an amicable one as their busy careers doomed their seven-year love affair, the “Live With Kelly and Michael” host’s rep told People. “They love each other very much, but with the distance and work schedule it has been hard to maintain the relationship,” the Strahan representative told the magazine.

Classic scorned chick move right here.  Nicole was probably jealous of Strahan going from a relatively anonymous NFL player (at least in Hollywood) to the king of morning TV and Sharknado scene stealer.

My buddy, who is a diehard Phillies fan, once got dumped by his girlfriend via text message five minutes before Game 3 of the 2009 World Series.  Until today, that was the meanest move I have ever seen a girl pull.  A text breakup is pretty rotten, but to do it right before a pivotal game?  Pure evil.  Nicole Murphy, you are one cold hearted bitch.  If/when Frozen goes to Broadway, we have our Elsa.

Murphy could have broke it off days, weeks, months, hell years ago.  But she wanted to wait until the perfect moment to strike.

*Editor’s Note: Replace “The Dolphins” with “Michael Strahan” and “Super Bowl Time” with “Hall of Fame Time”

And since it has to be mentioned anytime we talk about Michael Strahan’s media career, how crazy is it that he became the TV personality that Tiki Barber always wanted to be?  Tiki Barber worked the early shift at Fox & Friends and the late shift at WFAN.  And all he has to show for it is a few short-lived TV gigs and a brief guest appearance in Orange Is The New Black.  If it wasn’t so funny, it would be sad.
