ESPN- One of the NFL’s arguments for why Jimmy Graham shouldn’t receive the franchise tender as a wide receiver is that he lists himself as a tight end on his Twitter bio, according to a report.

The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport tweeted the news Tuesday.

Graham’s grievance hearing began Tuesday and is expected to conclude Wednesday. At stake is whether the New Orleans Saints will be required to offer Graham a one-year franchise-tag salary of $7.035 million or $12.3 million.

Arbitrator Stephen Burbank will hear arguments from the NFL Players Association and the NFL Management Council to determine whether Graham should be officially labeled as a tight end or a wide receiver for franchise-tag purposes. It’s unclear how long it will take Burbank to issue a ruling, although one week is a fair guess based on past arbitration hearings.

Wow, using a dude’s Twitter profile against him?  That is a new low for a league that willingly lets it’s players brains become soup and will bleed every last dollar out of their product, no matter what the consequences are.  Let me take a minute to explain my profile in case any lawsuits come my way.

  1. I added the deep breath to my profile to let people know that the soccer style kicker line (and the entire profile as a whole, basically) is a tip of the hat to the incredible Ray Finkle bio in Ace Ventura.  But if you didn’t know that, you are probably not having a fun time following my Twitter account.  I am NOT a soccer style kicker (I actually may be a soccer style kicker, I have no idea what this means).  Actually, if soccer style kickers get paid more in the game of life, I am a soccer style kicker. I am also nicknamed The Mule.
  2. Mets fan (sadly true), Giants fan (true), Knicks fan (VERY sadly true), Cuse fan (true), Fantasy sports fan (Depending on my team’s records, true).
  3. If you don’t think that the hoodie, shorts, and sandals outfit is the best outfit going these days, then you my friend are an L 7 Weenie.
  4. Blogger.  Yup, all this is written on a blog right now.  Inception type shit happening.  It doesn’t say “good blogger”, however.
  5. Stoolie.  Yup, true and proud.  If you are a red-blooded sports fan that doesn’t read Barstool Sports, you are a lost cause.
  6. And one hellllllll of a model American.  That is in the eye of the beholder, I guess.  But if America loves me half as much as I love it, then I think Uncle Sam and I are like peas and carrots.

Plus, would you ever want to sue someone that has the original Madden for Genesis as their Twitter cover photo?  The Defense rests, Your Honor.
